Which Dolphin Filter To Use
This is an easy question to answer but we need to first discuss the history of dolphin filters. When Dolphin robots were initially designed years ago, they all used filter bags that were mounted on the underneath of the robot and you needed to turn the unit upside down to gain access to the filter bag so you could remove it and clean off the debris that collected in the bag. This made cleaning the unit very cumbersome – you needed to flip the Dolphin robot over first and because of the shape of the top of the robot it wasn’t easy to lay on the ground. Fortunately, in recent years mostly every model now uses cartridges or baskets to collect the debris from the pool. These filters are loaded from the top of the Dolphin robot which makes for easy cleaning and maintenance of your pool robot by simply opening the top of the robot and gaining access to the filters.

The Dolphin filter basket makes it extremely easy to clean your filters after a cleaning cycle. This type of filter can found on the popular models Nautilus CC, CC Pro and CC Supreme.

Dolphin Fine Filter
Every Dolphin model comes with the equivalent of a fine filter, whether it’s a cartridge or basket type of Dolphin robot. For many of our customers, the fine filters keep their pool spotless and there is no need to consider any accessories like ultra fine filters.
Dolphin Ultra Fine Filter
The Dolphin ultra fine filters are designed to collect even smaller debris like fine sand and dirt that can be present in certain areas of the country. Many of our customers purchase the Dolphin Nautilus CC ultra fine filter and the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus ultra fine filter when they purchase their unit. Since the Dolphin E10 is an above ground model that is extremely popular in the midwest where fine dirt is present, the Dolphin E10 ultra fine filter is also commonly purchased.
